His Race Director CV includes the Stockport 10 and Offerton 10 on behalf of Stockport Harriers, Event Director and founder of the Woodbank parkrun now into it’s 6th successful year.
Having organised or helped to organise several other local events in and around the Stockport, Tameside and East Cheshire areas over the past few years, vast experience was gained whilst working with the VO2 Max Events and TrailPlus organisations at their Lakeland Trails and Hellrunner events along with organising a Santa Dash on behalf of the Co-operative at Platt Fields.

Some might say he is the genius in Crazy Legs but modesty prevents him from agreeing with such an obvious statement.
Years of running on the hills and more recently cycling gives him a good insight into what it is to be an also-ran in a race, a position the majority of competitors achieve, but knowing that good events make for good times and personal achievement and improvement.
His strengths lie in problem solving and taking a more ‘off the wall’ approach. He is the practical member of the team who gets on with setting up our courses and managing the marshals.
He has been involved in race organisation since the 1990’s when he started with providing results for fell races in the Yorkshire Dales. Since then he has marshaled at many races and is one of the Run Directors for the Woodbank parkrun. He has been working with Crazy Legs Events since 2013 usually providing the timing and results.
As an active triathlete and duathlete for the last ten years he is able to advise on the finer points of multi-sport race management.
Bill is a qualified personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach and nutrition adviser through Crazy Legs Fitness which shares the same ethos as Crazy Legs Events in attempting to make lasting health and well-being as accessible and enjoyable as possible.
